Tambola Online
Privacy Policy

Last Updated:

TambolaOnline.com ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website. Please read this policy carefully.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that is necessary to provide and improve our services. The types of information we collect depend on how you use our site.

  • Information for Multiplayer Games: When you choose to "Play with Friends," we collect a player name that you provide and assign a temporary, anonymous user ID. This information is stored on your device's local storage and in our database to manage game sessions, identify you to other players in the game room, and process prize claims. We do not require an email address or password for this feature.
  • Information for User Accounts (Future Feature): When you create a full account (currently disabled), we will collect personal information such as your email address and password to secure your account.
  • Usage Data: We may automatically collect non-personal information, such as browser type, operating system, and general website usage data through standard web logs and analytics tools. This helps us understand user trends and improve our service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To operate and maintain the Tambola game services, including hosting multiplayer rooms and managing game state.
  • To identify you within your game room and display your name on the winners' board.
  • To prevent fraud and abuse, such as multiple false prize claims ("bogus claims").
  • To analyze website usage to monitor and improve our services.
  • To respond to your inquiries when you contact us directly.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or rent your information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following situations:

  • With Other Players: Your chosen player name is visible to other users in the same multiplayer game room you join.
  • With Service Providers: We use third-party services like Firebase (by Google) to host our database and provide backend functionality. These providers have access to data only as necessary to perform their functions and are obligated to protect it.
  • For Legal Reasons: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your game data, including your player name and anonymous ID, is stored in a Firestore database. We take reasonable measures, including implementing Firestore Security Rules, to help protect your information from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access. However, no electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

5. Your Data Rights

The temporary player name and ID are essential for the multiplayer game to function. You can clear this data by clearing your browser's local storage for our site. Game room data is automatically deleted from our servers when the host ends the game.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
