How to Play Tambola Online with Friends
A simple, step-by-step guide to hosting and joining a private multiplayer game on TambolaOnline.com.

Tambola (also known as Housie or Bingo) is a classic social game. You used to need a physical board and tickets to play. Now? All you need is your phone or computer. Here’s how to set up a private game with friends in minutes—no downloads or sign-ups required.

  • Step 1: Enter Your Nickname

First, go to the 'Play with Friends' page. Forget long registration forms. We use a simple Guest Mode. Just type in a player name for yourself and click 'Continue'. No emails, no passwords, no hassle.

  • Step 2: Host or Join a Room

You are either the Host or a Player. If you are the Host, click 'Host Game'. If you are joining a friend's game, enter the Unique Party Code they sent you and click 'Join Game'. These rooms are private—only people with the code can get in.

  • Step 3: Choose Your Digital Ticket

Before you enter the game room, you'll be shown a set of multiple unique Tambola tickets. Pick the one that feels lucky to you! You can also 'Shuffle' to get a completely new set of tickets. Once you're happy with your choice, click 'Confirm & Create/Join Game'.

  • Step 4: Let the Numbers Roll

Once all players are in, the Host controls the game. The Host clicks the 'Call Next Number' button to draw a number, which is announced and displayed on everyone's screen. Your ticket will be marked automatically, so you can focus on the fun!

  • Step 5: Claim a Pattern

This is the exciting part! When you complete a recognized game pattern, click the corresponding button in the 'Claim a Prize' section. The system verifies your claim instantly. If it's valid, your name is added to the Winners Board for that pattern.

    • Early Five: The first player to mark any 5 numbers.
    • Four Corners: The first and last numbers of the top and bottom rows.
    • Lines: Top, Middle, or Bottom Line.
    • Full House: All 15 numbers on your ticket. This is the final pattern and usually ends the game.

Tips for a Great Game Night

Consider a Video Call

Tambola is often more fun when you can hear everyone. Using a popular video conferencing service in the background can enhance the experience.

Agree on the Rules First

To keep the game fun and fair for everyone, it's a good idea for all players to agree on the patterns and any house rules before the game starts.

Keep a Good Pace

As the Host, try not to wait too long between calling numbers. A quicker pace can keep the energy up and the game exciting for everyone involved.
